The Ultimate East African Journey

Eighteen days spanning three countries and some of the most extraordinary wildlife ecosystems on Earth — this is the benchmark safari experience.

Begin in Tanzania's legendary Northern Circuit — Tarangire's elephant herds, three days tracking the Great Migration across the Serengeti's endless plains, and a full day inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Then fly north to Kenya's Samburu National Reserve and on to the world-famous Maasai Mara for three days of river crossing drama. Finally, trade your safari boots for sandals and spend five luxurious nights on Zanzibar's pristine beaches.

This is the itinerary for travellers who don't want to choose between the Serengeti and the Mara, between Tanzania and Kenya, between the bush and the beach. This journey has it all — and our team ensures it flows seamlessly, even across borders.

Jul – Oct: The Grand Window

Both the Serengeti and Mara are in peak season simultaneously. River crossings are active, predators are concentrated, and Zanzibar's ocean is at its calmest.

Jan – Feb: Quiet Luxury

Fewer tourists, calving season in Tanzania, good conditions in Kenya, and Zanzibar's ocean at its clearest. Significant value advantage for this window.

Frequently Asked Questions

We handle all of it. Cross-border travel in East Africa requires coordinating visas, domestic flights, lodge handoffs, and guide changes — and we manage every single piece. From your perspective, you simply arrive and enjoy. You'll receive a detailed travel document pack including every transfer, flight, and contact before departure.
Yes — Tanzania requires a visa (obtainable on arrival or online in advance), and Kenya requires an electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) applied for online before travel. Some nationalities qualify for the East Africa Tourist Visa covering Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda in one application. We send you full instructions tailored to your nationality.
Absolutely. Many clients prefer a 12 or 14-day version (dropping Samburu or shortening the beach stay). Others want to add a Laikipia Plateau leg or southern Tanzania's Nyerere park. This itinerary is a framework and we customise it around your time and interests.
For peak season (July–October), we strongly recommend booking 12–18 months in advance. The most sought-after camps in the Serengeti, Maasai Mara, and Zanzibar fill very quickly during this period. For other months, 6–9 months is generally sufficient — but earlier is always better for the best lodge selection.
We cap this itinerary at 10 guests to ensure exclusivity and intimate game drives. Larger groups (10–20) are possible with additional vehicles and guides — just let us know when you enquire and we'll design a solution that works for your group.
